Aircraft Twirls Wildly into Palm Trees at Frequented California Beach
An aircraft soaring above a well-attended southern California beach suddenly commenced twirling out of control, finally dropping height and smashing into a cluster of palm fronds as beachgoers looked on.
Videos shared on social media depict the aircraft starting to spin near Huntington Beach then falling near the perimeter of the shore, where it becomes wedged amidst palm groves and a staircase adjacent to the Pacific Coast highway.
Emergency Response Details
The Huntington Beach fire department reported five persons were rushed to the hospital comprising two who were in the chopper and were ârescued from the debrisâ following the crash on Saturday.
Three people on the road were injured. Specifics on their injuries were not yet released.
The reason for the accident was not yet disclosed.
