I'll stamp all over 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize next month's bout.

Former two-time world title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

Despite such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning massive paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Size Disparity

As both boxers participated in the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
