QB Maye passed for 281 yards and a touchdown, connecting on 25 out of 34 attempts
Victory increases the Patriots lead at the top of the AFC East as they advanced to a 9-2 record, with the New York bottom after dropping to two wins and eight losses
The visitors had scored first at Gillette Stadium with QB Justin Fields rushing for a five-yard touchdown to finish the Jets' first possession
But the Patriots answered in the second period as the rookie scored two short rushing scores before the running back caught a pass from Maye at the rear of the endzone midway through the third period to make it 21-7
"It was a big time for him stepping up, and it's been fantastic for him to keep earning playing time," the quarterback commented on Henderson. "He aims to be outstanding."
Justin Fields threw to John Metchie late in the third period to close the gap for the Jets but Andy Borregales kicked a two kicks in the final period as the home side wrapped up the victory
